About The Author
Arthur Maslow is a physician who brings a lifetime of listening, witnessing, and caring into his fiction. A former Medical Director of Women’s Services, he has spent decades walking with people through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. These experiences—quiet, profound, and deeply rooted in kindness and love—shape the emotional honesty at the heart of his storytelling.
A lifelong student of American history, his work is shaped by a deep interest in the lived experiences of immigrants, Black communities, and working-class families from the late nineteenth century onward. His research into the Johnstown Flood, industrial labor conditions, and the spiritual traditions carried by Irish immigrants informs the historical and emotional grounding of his debut novel, Valley of Echoes. Arthur lives in Washington State, where he continues to write stories that explore resilience, justice, spirituality, and the quiet courage of ordinary people.
